Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Stale Bread (Challah or Brioche)
  • 2 cups Plant-Based Milk (Almond Milk)
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Cream
  • 1/2 cup Poppy Seeds
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Take a 9x13 inch baking dish and lightly grease its inside surfaces.
  2. 2Cut the 1 loaf of Stale Bread (Challah or Brioche) into 1-inch cubes and place them in a large bowl.
  3. 3Add the 2 cups of Plant-Based Milk (Almond Milk), 1/2 cup of Coconut Cream, 1/2 cup of Poppy Seeds, 1/2 cup of Sugar, 1 tsp of Vanilla Extract, 1/2 tsp of Ground Cinnamon, and 1/4 tsp of Salt to the bowl with the bread.
  4. 4Gently toss all the ingredients in the bowl together until the bread cubes are evenly coated with the liquid mixture.
  5. 5Pour the entire mixture from the bowl into the prepared 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
  6. 6Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. The casserole is ready when it is golden brown on top and the center feels set when gently pressed.
  7. 7Carefully remove the baking dish from the oven and let the Mákos Guba French Toast Casserole cool slightly for about 10 minutes before serving.
