Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons Instant Yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil
  • 3/4 cup Warm Water
  • 1/4 cup Dairy-Free Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. 2Melt the coconut oil and add it to the dry ingredients along with warm water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. 3Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. 4Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. 5Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. 6Punch down the dough and divide it into two equal portions.
  7. 7Roll out each portion into a circle. Cut each circle into 8 wedges.
  8. 8Starting from the wide end, roll each wedge into a crescent shape (medialuna).
  9. 9Place the medialunas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. 10Brush with dairy-free milk and sprinkle with sugar.
  11. 11Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
