Ingredients

  • 4 slices Bread slices
  • 4 tablespoons Dairy-free kaya jam
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon White pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 4 slices of Bread slices into a toaster and toast them until they are golden brown.
  2. 2Spread 4 tablespoons of Dairy-free kaya jam evenly onto the toasted bread slices.
  3. 3Fill a large heavy-bottomed pot with enough water to cover the eggs and bring it to a rolling boil over high heat, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. 4Once the water is boiling, carefully lower the 2 large Eggs into the pot using a spoon. Cook for exactly 6 minutes for soft-boiled eggs.
  5. 5While the eggs are cooking, prepare a bowl with cold water and a few ice cubes. Once the 6 minutes are up, immediately transfer the cooked eggs to the cold water bath to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for 2-3 minutes.
  6. 6Gently tap the cooled eggs on a hard surface and carefully peel away the shells. Slice the peeled eggs in half.
  7. 7Serve the prepared kaya toast immediately. Place the peeled soft-boiled eggs alongside the toast. Drizzle the eggs with 1 tablespoon of Soy sauce and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of White pepper.
