Dairy-Free Halva Semolina Pudding with Orange Zest

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Semolina
  • 3 cups Almond Milk
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Orange Zest
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup of water. Add the cinnamon stick and bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes to make a syrup. Remove the cinnamon stick.
  2. 2In a separate saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add semolina and cook, stirring constantly, until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. 3Gradually pour in the almond milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  4. 4Add the syrup and orange zest. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the pudding thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. 5Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
