Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground Chicken
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 2 small Green Chilies, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Mint, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil, for brushing
  • 2 tablespoons Dairy-Free Heavy Cream Alternative (e.g., coconut cream)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the 1 pound Ground Chicken, 1 medium Onion finely chopped, 1 tablespoon Ginger-Garlic Paste, 2 small Green Chilies finely chopped, 2 tablespoons Cilantro chopped, 1 tablespoon Mint chopped, 1 teaspoon Garam Masala, 1/2 teaspoon Cumin Powder, 1/2 teaspoon Coriander Powder, 1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Powder, 1 teaspoon Salt, and 2 tablespoons Dairy-Free Heavy Cream Alternative. Mix everything together with your hands until it is all well combined.
  2. 2Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This chilling time helps the flavors blend together.
  3. 3Preheat your grill or oven to medium heat. For an oven, this is 350°F (175°C). For a grill, aim for a temperature that cooks the kebabs evenly without burning them.
  4. 4Take about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture at a time and firmly shape it around a metal skewer, forming a long, thin kebab. Repeat this process with the rest of the chicken mixture and skewers.
  5. 5Lightly brush the shaped kebabs all over with the 2 tablespoons Oil.
  6. 6Place the oiled kebabs on the preheated grill or in the oven. Cook for 20-25 minutes, turning them every 5-7 minutes to ensure even cooking. The kebabs are done when they are cooked through and have a light brown color. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  7. 7Carefully remove the kebabs from the grill or oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the kebabs more tender. Serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
