  • 1/4 cup Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Ginger, grated
  • 2 stalks Green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 1 head Lettuce leaves (butter or romaine)
  • 1 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, combine the 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 teaspoon ginger (grated), 2 stalks green onions (sliced), and 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes.
  2. 2Add the 1 lb beef sirloin (thinly sliced) to the bowl with the marinade. Stir to coat the beef evenly, then let it marinate for at least 10 minutes at room temperature.
  3. 3Place a 12-inch skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Allow the pan to heat up for 1-2 minutes until it is hot.
  4. 4Add half of the marinated beef to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is browned and cooked through. Remove the cooked beef to a clean plate and repeat with the remaining beef.
  5. 5Arrange the 1 head of lettuce leaves on a serving platter. Spoon the cooked bulgogi beef into the lettuce leaves.
  6. 6Sprinkle the 1 tablespoon of toasted sesame seeds over the beef in the lettuce wraps.
