Ingredients

  • 2 cans Black Beans (canned)
  • 1 cup Cooked Brown Rice
  • 1/2 medium Onion
  • 1/2 medium Bell Pepper (any color)
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 cup Gluten-Free Breadcrumbs
  • 4 buns Gluten-Free Buns
  • 1 medium Avocado

Instructions

  1. 1Drain and rinse black beans. Mash with a fork or potato masher.
  2. 2In a large bowl, combine mashed black beans, cooked brown rice, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, and gluten-free breadcrumbs.
  3. 3Mix well until all ingredients are combined.
  4. 4Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  5. 5Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 5-7 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly browned.
  6. 6Serve black bean burgers on gluten-free buns with slices of avocado and other desired toppings.
