Ingredients

  • 2 cups Mashed Potatoes
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Dairy-Free Butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1In a large bowl, combine the 2 cups of mashed potatoes, the 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour, the 2 tablespoons of melted dairy-free butter, the 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and the 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.
  2. 2Mix everything together with your hands or a sturdy spoon until a cohesive dough forms. If the dough feels too sticky to handle, add a little more of the all-purpose flour, about 1 tablespoon at a time, until it's manageable.
  3. 3Turn the dough out onto a clean surface that has been lightly dusted with a small amount of all-purpose flour. Gently knead the dough for 2 to 3 minutes until it is smooth.
  4. 4Divide the dough into 6 equal portions. Shape each portion into a flat triangle, about 1/2-inch thick.
  5. 5Heat a lightly oiled griddle or a 10-inch frying pan over medium heat, which is about 350°F (175°C).
  6. 6Carefully place the potato farls onto the hot griddle or pan. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes on each side, until they are a deep golden brown and feel firm to the touch.
  7. 7Remove the potato farls from the pan and serve them warm.
