Ingredients

  • 1 lb Cumberland Sausage
  • 2 medium Apple

Instructions

  1. 1Cut the 1 lb Cumberland Sausage into 1-inch bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2Core the 2 medium Apples and chop them into 1-inch chunks, similar in size to the sausage pieces.
  3. 3Thread the sausage pieces and apple chunks onto skewers, alternating between the sausage and apple. Aim to fill each skewer with about 4-5 pieces of each.
  4. 4Prepare your grill for medium heat, aiming for a temperature of 350°F (175°C). Alternatively, place a 12-inch skillet over medium heat.
  5. 5Place the skewers on the preheated grill or into the skillet. Cook for 10-15 minutes, turning the skewers occasionally, until the Cumberland Sausage is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 160°F or 71°C) and the apple chunks are tender and slightly caramelized.
  6. 6Remove the skewers from the heat and let them rest for 2 minutes before serving warm.
