Ingredients

  • 3 medium Ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 pinch Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. 1In a medium bowl, whisk together the 1/2 cup of rice flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/4 cup of coconut milk, and 1 pinch of salt until the batter is completely smooth.
  2. 2Peel the 3 medium ripe bananas. Cut each banana into 2 or 3 pieces.
  3. 3Dip each banana piece into the smooth batter, turning to coat all sides evenly.
  4. 4Pour the 1 cup of vegetable oil into a large skillet or a deep fryer. Heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
  5. 5Carefully place the battered banana pieces into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, until the coating is golden brown and crispy. The bananas should look puffed and firm.
  6. 6Using a slotted spoon or tongs, remove the fried banana pieces from the hot oil. Place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
  7. 7Serve the Chuối Chiên warm.
