Ingredients

  • 1 cup Rice flour
  • 0.25 cup Tapioca starch
  • 1.5 cups Water
  • 1 tbsp Cooking oil
  • 0.25 cup Sweet shrimp paste (hae ko)
  • 2 tbsp Water
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds
  • 2 tbsp Chili sauce

Instructions

  1. 1In a bowl, whisk together rice flour, tapioca starch, and water until smooth. Add cooking oil and mix well.
  2. 2Heat a large flat pan or skillet over medium heat. Grease lightly with oil.
  3. 3Pour a thin layer of batter onto the hot pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. 4Cover the pan and steam for 2-3 minutes, or until the rice noodle sheet is cooked through.
  5. 5Carefully remove the rice noodle sheet and roll it up.
  6. 6Repeat with the remaining batter.
  7. 7Thin the sweet shrimp paste with a little water to desired consistency.
  8. 8Cut the rice noodle rolls into bite-sized pieces.
  9. 9Serve with sweet shrimp paste, sesame seeds, and chili sauce (optional).
