Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sweet rice (glutinous rice)
  • 1/4 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 6 cups Water
  • 1/2 cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy)

Instructions

  1. 1In a large pot, combine sweet rice, cocoa powder, sugar, and water.
  2. 2Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is soft and the porridge has thickened, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  3. 3Stir in milk during the last few minutes.
  4. 4Serve hot. Sweeten more if needed.
