Ingredients

  • 8 slices Gluten-Free Bread (baguette style)
  • 2 large Ripe Tomatoes
  • 2 small Garlic Cloves
  • 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • to taste Salt

Instructions

  1. 1Place the 8 slices of Gluten-Free Bread on a baking sheet. Toast them in an oven preheated to 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes, or until they are golden brown and slightly crisp.
  2. 2While the bread is toasting, cut the 2 small Garlic Cloves in half.
  3. 3Once the bread is toasted, take one half of a garlic clove and rub it firmly and repeatedly over the surface of each slice of toasted bread. You should see and smell the garlic releasing its flavor onto the bread.
  4. 4Cut the 2 large Ripe Tomatoes in half. Take one half of a tomato and rub the cut side over the surface of each slice of bread. Squeeze gently as you rub to release the juice and pulp, ensuring the bread becomes well coated with tomato.
  5. 5Drizzle approximately 1/2 tablespoon of the 4 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil over each slice of bread.
  6. 6Sprinkle each slice with Salt to your taste.
  7. 7Serve the Catalan Tomato Bread immediately.
