Ingredients

  • 8 Bread slices
  • 4 oz Canadian cheddar cheese
  • 1 Apple
  • 2 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. 1Lay out all 8 bread slices. Spread the 2 tbsp of butter evenly over one side of each of the 8 bread slices.
  2. 2Place 4 of the bread slices into a 10-inch skillet, with the butter-side facing down. Turn the heat to medium, which is 350°F (175°C).
  3. 3Arrange the 4 oz of Canadian cheddar cheese slices over the bread in the skillet. Then, place the slices from the 1 apple on top of the cheese.
  4. 4Place the remaining 4 bread slices on top of the apple and cheese, making sure the butter-side is facing up.
  5. 5Cook for 3 to 4 minutes on this side, until the bottom bread is golden brown and the cheese is starting to melt. Carefully flip the sandwiches over. Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes, until the second side is also golden brown and the cheese is fully melted and gooey.
  6. 6Remove the sandwiches from the skillet. Cut each sandwich into 4 bite-sized pieces. Serve immediately.
