Ingredients

  • 1 cup Black Glutinous Rice
  • 6 cups Water
  • 1 can Coconut Milk
  • 1/2 cup Palm Sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pinch of Salt
  • 2 leaves Pandan Leaves (optional)

Instructions

  1. 1Rinse the black glutinous rice under cold water.
  2. 2In a large pot, combine the rice, water, and pandan leaves (if using). Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the mixture has thickened.
  3. 3Stir in the coconut milk, palm sugar, and salt. Simmer for another 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is dissolved and the porridge is creamy.
  4. 4Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
