Ingredients

  • 1 cup Soybeans
  • 1/4 medium Red onion
  • 1 small Green chilies
  • 2 tbsp Cilantro
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Mustard oil
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions

  1. 1Place 1 cup of soybeans into a dry, 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat (400°F / 200°C). Cook, stirring frequently, for 8-10 minutes, or until the soybeans are golden brown and feel crispy when gently pressed. Remove the soybeans from the skillet and spread them on a plate to cool completely for about 10 minutes.
  2. 2While the soybeans are cooling, finely chop the 1/4 medium red onion and 1 small green chili. Finely chop the 2 tablespoons of cilantro.
  3. 3Once the soybeans are cool, place them into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  4. 4Add the chopped 1/4 medium red onion, chopped 1 small green chili, and chopped 2 tablespoons of cilantro to the bowl with the soybeans.
  5. 5Pour the 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of mustard oil over the ingredients in the bowl.
  6. 6Sprinkle in the 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder.
  7. 7Gently mix all the ingredients together in the bowl until everything is evenly combined and coated. Serve immediately.
